About the 2025 Leadership Academy

The Leadership Academy is an incredible opportunity for growth and training for pastors and leaders, and is now in its 17th year! During an intense and transformative week, participants immerse themselves in lectures given by prominent speakers from both the national and international scene, addressing essential topics for ministerial life. In addition to learning, there are moments dedicated to caring for emotional, physical, and family health, making this experience even more special. A time of renewal, connection, and strengthening for those who desire to serve with excellence!

“Total Surrender” is the theme that will guide us this year, a call to completely surrender our dreams, ministries, families, and lives to the Lordship of Christ. Our desire is to reflect, based on the lives of great men and women who were used by God, on the urgent and necessary attitude of total submission to His will.

We invite you to join us in this time of surrender!

Pr. Geraldo Geremias é um líder dedicado e respeitado, com mais de 50 anos de ministério pastoral, tendo servido como pastor titular da Terceira Igreja Batista de Macaé desde 1971.

Com formação em Teologia e Direito, destacou-se como presidente da Associação Batista Macaense, da Convenção Batista Fluminense e da Ordem dos Pastores Batistas do Brasil, além de atuar como conferencista no Brasil e no exterior.

Casado há cinco décadas com a Profª Maria Francisca de Oliveira Geremias, é pai de quatro filhos e avô de seis netos, construindo uma trajetória marcada pela fé, compromisso e amor ao Reino de Deus

Tallita Barros Todeschini é uma figura proeminente na liderança de adoração da Primeira Igreja Batista de Curitiba desde 2008, onde atua como Ministra Auxiliar de Adoração. Responsável pela direção da área de Ensino e Formação de Liderança em Adoração, Tallita traz consigo uma bagagem acadêmica e profissional diversificada. É casada com Marcelo Todeschini desde 2017.

Ela é licenciada em Música pela Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná (EMBAP), especialista em Ensino das Artes na Educação Básica pela Universidade do Estado do Paraná (UEPA) e possui mestrado em Teologia pela Faculdade Batista de Paraná (FABAPAR). Sua dedicação à música e à teologia reflete-se não apenas em seu serviço na igreja, mas também em seu compromisso com o desenvolvimento e a formação de líderes na área de adoração.

Senior Pastor of the Idlewild Baptist Church

Sobre o Preletor

Pr. Edgar Aponte atuou como vice-presidente de mobilização no Conselho de Missões Internacionais, onde liderou o alcance geral a pastores, igrejas e relacionamentos com entidades batistas do sul nacionais. Anteriormente, atuou como Diretor de Desenvolvimento de Liderança Hispânica e Professor de Teologia no Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS).

Dr. Aponte também serviu como diplomata em Washington, D.C., em nome de seu país natal, a República Dominicana. Além de graduação e pós-graduação em administração (MBA), ele obteve um Master of Divinity (M.Div.) e um Ph.D. em Estudos Teológicos.

Pastor Aponte é casado com Sara e é pai de três filhos, Edgar Miguel, Isabela e Daniel.

Pastor Elias Dantas é fundador e coordenador internacional da Global Kingdom Partnerships Network, uma rede de pastores e líderes cristãos chave, que encabeçam igrejas em todos os continentes do mundo.

É Bacharel e mestre em Teologia, possui dois doutorados, um em Missiologia e outro em Estudos Interculturais, com foco missionário. Além disso, tem uma vasta experiência com ministérios, em seminários e universidades, e já falou para líderes de várias denominações em mais de 60 países. 

Além de seu trabalho com a GKPN, o Pr. Elias é autor de livros sobre liderança e mantém uma presença ativa nas redes sociais, compartilhando insights e experiências que inspiram líderes e comunidades ao redor do mundo.

Pr. Elias Dantas é casado com Amélia há 44 anos. O casal tem três filhos casados, três noras e nove netos.

About the speaker

Pastor Geraldo Geremias is a dedicated and respected leader with over 50 years of pastoral ministry, having served as senior pastor of the Third Baptist Church of Macaé since 1971.

With degrees in theology and law, he distinguished himself as president of the Macaé Baptist Association, the Fluminense Baptist Convention, and the Order of Baptist Pastors of Brazil, in addition to serving as a lecturer in Brazil and abroad.

Married for five decades to Professor Maria Francisca de Oliveira Geremias, he is the father of four children and grandfather of six grandchildren, building a career marked by faith, commitment, and love for the Kingdom of God.

About the speaker

Tallita Barros Todeschini has been a prominent figure in worship leadership at the First Baptist Church of Curitiba since 2008, where she serves as Assistant Worship Minister. Responsible for directing the Worship Leadership Education and Training department, Tallita brings a diverse academic and professional background. She has been married to Marcelo Todeschini since 2017.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the Paraná School of Music and Fine Arts (EMBAP), a specialization in Arts Education in Basic Education from the State University of Paraná (UEPA), and a Master’s degree in Theology from the Baptist College of Paraná (FABAPAR). Her dedication to music and theology is reflected not only in her service to the church but also in her commitment to developing and training worship leaders.

About the speaker

Pastor Edgar Aponte served as vice president of mobilization at the International Mission Board, where he led general outreach to pastors, churches, and relationships with national Southern Baptist entities. Previously, he served as Director of Hispanic Leadership Development and Professor of Theology at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS).

Dr. Aponte also served as a diplomat in Washington, D.C., on behalf of his native Dominican Republic. In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration (MBA), he earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and a Ph.D. in Theological Studies.

Pastor Aponte is married to Sara and is the father of three children: Edgar Miguel, Isabela, and Daniel.

About the speaker

Pastor Elias Dantas is the founder and international coordinator of the Global Kingdom Partnerships Network, a network of pastors and key Christian leaders who lead churches on every continent.

He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Theology and two doctorates, one in Missiology and the other in Intercultural Studies, with a missionary focus. He also has extensive experience in ministries, seminaries, and universities, and has spoken to leaders of various denominations in over 60 countries.

In addition to his work with GKPN, Pastor Elias is the author of books on leadership and maintains an active social media presence, sharing insights and experiences that inspire leaders and communities around the world.

Pastor Elias Dantas has been married to Amélia for 44 years. The couple has three married sons, three daughters-in-law, and nine grandchildren.

About the speaker

Pastor Silas Timóteo is a leader committed to the gospel, currently pastoring the First Baptist Church of Balneário Camboriú (PIBBC). In addition to his pastoral work, he serves as president of the Santa Catarina Baptist Convention, contributing significantly to the strengthening of Baptist churches in the region. His academic background is diverse, including Theology, Business Administration, Technology in Management Processes, and a postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management.

About AMBMG

The Association of Baptist Musicians of Minas Gerais (AMBMG) has the mission of strengthening musical worship in Baptist churches in Minas Gerais, assisting the Minas Gerais Baptist Convention in this work.

Through projects such as DEDICATO, which provides training to associations, and ADORE Minas, an annual Worship and Art Conference, AMBMG reaches out to Baptist musicians, encouraging development and inspiration.

Its commitment is to functional music that glorifies God, edifies the church, and exalts His Kingdom!

ABOUT REGISTRATION

1) When will registration begin?

– Start: May 20, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.

– End: When spaces are filled.

2) What is required to register?

– Up-to-date registration on Kairós (CBM website)

– The church must be up-to-date with the Cooperative Plan and annual Offering for State Missions to guarantee free registration.

– Attach a copy of your ID or driver’s license (front and back).

– Leaders must also attach a letter of recommendation from their church’s senior pastor.

3) How many spaces are available?

– 500

4) Will there be a waiting list if I am unable to register?

– Yes. All registrations will undergo a review process. For this reason, if your registration option is showing as sold out, register your name on the waiting list that will be available on the registration form.

ABOUT PAYMENT

1) When is registration free?

– Free registration for pastors and leaders of churches affiliated with the Minas Gerais Baptist Convention who are up-to-date with the Cooperative Plan and Annual Offering for State Missions.

2) When is registration not free?

– Enrollees from churches affiliated with the Minas Gerais Baptist Convention who are not cooperating with the Cooperative Plan and Annual Offering for State Missions pay R$2,900.00.

Pastors and leaders from other states will pay a registration fee of R$3,800.00.

3) Can I bring my spouse?

– Wives of pastors from cooperating churches who wish to stay with their spouse in the same accommodation will pay R$1,900.

ABOUT HOSTING

1) Do I need to bring bed linens and towels?

– No

2) Can I choose who I can share the room with?

– No, but you can suggest the name of the person you’d like to share the room with via the front desk’s WhatsApp. We’ll do our best, but we can’t guarantee we’ll accommodate your request.

3) What are the check-in and check-out times?

– Check-in: 4 PM / Check-out: 12 PM

4) Is there internet at the hotel?

– Yes, but we can’t guarantee good signal quality.

ABOUT TRANSPORTATION

1) Will CBM provide transportation to the event location?
– No. Round-trip transportation is the responsibility of each registrant.

ABOUT EXHIBITORS

Can I display my materials, products, Bibles, and/or other books?
– No. We will have CBM Bookstore and Publisher as a display for sales and other partners.
